Once upon a time
There was a group of wanderers
Seeking an ancestral help
For their journey
Others said this myth was a lie
But it lies behind a man's map
And this coordinate hides the spells of esoteria
And they found the lodge so ominous
Centuries old
Wanderers offered a rope and asked:
"Would you sell us a knot?"
Shaman smeared with soot
"I will sell you the first one"
The knot was a wind of bravery
"Now be brave and stay in silence"
Wanderers got greedy and asked for the second
Now they truly exasperated the Windseller
Wind of strenght was sold
Now they demanded the last one by threat
"But you have to give me your everything
For this wind of most dangerous curse"
Wanderers left with grin on their faces
Believed in their ultimate powers
Enter The Necropolis is the band’s crowning achievement so far, and it’s an outstanding exemplar of the Finnish melodic black metal sound. The 2016 record is also excellent. Metallurgical Fire
I'd say Havukruunu is the rightful holder of the Crown and the mantle of Quorthon. Epic choirs, vikingesque themes and tales from the other times, of the Finnish paganism back in the days before our ancestors were brought to the cross and forced to kneel while feeling the bloody sword of saviour on their throats made to kiss the hand of murderers who burnt thousands, tore down our holy places and took our holy days. Eyes teary I listen to these songs, never forgiving the crimes of the cross! Peikonmieli
The metal’s band revelatory new record crosses genres and styles, effortlessly combining seemingly incompatible subgenres. Bandcamp Album of the Day Apr 26, 2024
